Aloha ! I don't know about you, but it's absolutely freezing where I live right now. At thirty-two degrees. It's quite literally freezing. Stay warm if you're in the cold areas ! Drink up that cocoa and snuggle in warm pjs and blankets !

This past Friday into Saturday I was actually in Atlantic City for a concert. I unfortunately didn't get to see the show since it was a twenty-one and older event, but I did get to lay in a hotel room watching TV for a few hours, something that I normally never do. The next morning my mom took us out to Caesar's Casino for shopping. As I walked past the Louis Vuitton and Gucci and Burberry, I lusted for everything, but couldn't help but mentally belt out Thrift Shop in my head. I long for the day that I can walk into these stores and buy luxurious pieces. Who knows if that day will ever even come. However, nothing will ever beat finding that thing you've seen trending the runways in a thrift store, and for oodles upon oodles cheaper. That feeling of accomplishment is the best; cheating the system right there !

This outfit I wore at the beginning of my college school year. Yes, I did say I was finally caught up with outfit posts, and I AM. I only just posted this to lookbook a few days ago ! I was waiting so everything would be synced up, lookbook and blog. Marvelous ! Anywho... I was actually spotted in the cafeteria by a lovely fellow student, who interns for the website collegefashionista.com (link posted above). She asked me if she could interview me and snap a few photos (all of the photographs above). Of course I gladly accepted ! A small dream of mine has always been to be streetstyle photographed by someone, anyone. And it happened within the first few weeks of school ! As if school couldn't get any better, it's awesome to feel appreciated here, rather than outcasted like I always felt in high school. Moving on and up ! Definitely check the website out, it features many many different styles of students all over the nation. It's great for outfit inspiration !

This leather jacket is literally the best jacket I own. When my dad bought it for me for motorcycle riding many years ago, I thought it was ugly and stowed it away. When I stumbled upon it, it was like finding buryed treasure. It still has that awesome leathery scent, is soft as ever, and looks great with virtually everything. I know leather jackets are quite costly for good quality, so thank you dad for this amazing gift ! I finally appreciate it :) As usual the jewelry is all vintage. My grandma has the best jewelry collection I have ever seen, and when she gives me the occasional ring or bracelet, it's basically Christmas all over again. As for that necklace, I found it while working at my local antique shop, and the lovely shop keeper gave it to me for two dollars. TWO DOLLARS. That's more than a deal, perhaps more than a steal. Best gift ever :)

Sheesh I have typed a lot ! I used to think I  typed to little. Now I need to find stopping places in my writing so I don't overdo it ! That's what I call writing progress.

Happy New Years my lovelies !

The World is Black

blazer ... Gap
blouse ... H&M
shorts ... thrifted, Abercrombie&Fitch
brogues ... Topshop

Just enjoyed a nice bowl of yogurt with chopped bananas, and a little cup of coffee. I'm going to work out, play my 3DS, and then get ready to go to Atlantic City for the night. A wonderful wonderful two weeks I've had so far ! Some time next week I plan to make a Salvation Army trip and post some more looks, CURRENT looks. Yes ladies and gents I'm officially caught up. After this final summer time look that I took the day before going to school, I'll be posting looks that I actually photographed within the past few days. A miracle ! I have some cheeky reviews as well. Yay for blogging ! Being swamped with schoolwork for the past few months made me forget how much I love writing. I can only improve my skills from here, and this will surely help me with school writing as well. Write as much as you can about anything and everything folks, it does nothing but help your brain, especially when it is quite clogged with too many thoughts like mine :)

So, the last summer outfit... Simple, yet stylish. The black and white is a classic pairing, and color-blocking is something I'm definitely a fan of. The shirt is difficult to see, but it is textured and slightly liquid looking. At first I thought this was cheap looking, but of course after seeing it everywhere it began to grow on me. It has a nice slinky fit that is flattering to curves despite the baggy fit. The shoes are a favourite pair of mine. I purchased them on my first trip to England a few years ago. The studding takes these brogues from average it intricate and interesting ! I am a bug fan of studs, so when I saw them on sale in Topshop, I was sold !

High schoolers and younger, your break is almost over, and I hope it was a wonderful one ! College and above, we have a little while left, so make the most of it ! Purchase those things you've been wanting with the money you got as gifts. Put some away for saving yes, but treat yourself as well ! I bought a leather skater skirt and a lacy long-sleeve minidress, what about you ?

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche Shower Gel Review

Image via Google

I received a sample of Chanel Chance Shower Gel a few months ago, but I left it home while I went off to school. Now that I'm back into the swing of things at home, I used my sample immediately. It smelled delicious !

*

The scent is sweet, fresh, and flowery, obviously like the fragrance itself.  It foams and lathers upon usage, and leaves a sweet scent and softness upon the skin. I love it ! Needless to say I got to feel luxurious for a brief moment. :) Of course it's pricey. Sixty-three dollars for anything is costly in my book... But it would make a great gift for someone you love who likes to pamper themselves ! Like me for instance. :)

*

I'm officially a week into my break. And I'm assuming all of you are officially on some kind of break as well ! Rest up and eat tasty goodies. Embrace the holidays and the merriness it brings. I cannot help but feel happy for everything and everyone I have.
Happy Holidays !

Pink Sorbet

blouse ... charity shop
shorts ... Marshall's
shoes ... Libby Edelman, Famous Footwear
bracelets ... Links of London

It's almost noon. I have already went for a walk with a friend, had yogurt and coffee for breakfast, and I am currently lying in bed watching the E! channel that I missed so very much at school. It's not even noon yet. This break is honestly a gift from the heavens. This break is also giving me so much free time to type away here. I'm catching up quickly !

*

This was a simple outfit. I liked the contrast of the colours though, paired with my favourite neutral wedges. Colour-blocking is easy to put together and still make a statement !

Five days till Christmas ! Finish up your shopping ! I have a few more things to get as well... Hurry Hurry !

California Here I Come

epic beast cat

cropped tank ... H&M
floral shorts ... eBay (Free People)
pink bracelet ... Links of London

Today was the first day in a long time that I was able to sleep in. It was glorious. Today also happened to be my nineteenth birthday. As much as I wish I could have spent it in New York with my college friends. It was quite nice to spend time home with my family whom I have not seen in almost two months. I saw Skyfall, and ate a our local, very yummy, sea food restaurant. Mexican Salad with lobster, yum yum ! It's so nice to be able to relax, and have absolutely nothing to do. I don't remember feeling like this since I was just a little girl, before the school work began to pile on. A truly peaceful feeling.

*

Outfit isn't from today... although I did photograph my birthday outfit. I liked it quite a lot and I cannot wait to post it up ! My local Bronx thrift store has been quite good to me. Anywho, these shorts are my best ebay find ever. There was absolutely no way I was buying them for full price. As much as I absolutely love Free People - their catalogues are so beautiful inspiring - their clothing is ridiculously expensive. When I found these shorts on eBay, I couldn't believe it. They were twenty dollars cheaper, and suddenly only in the slightly pricey range rather than costing an arm and a leg. I was instantly sold. Although I was nervous about whether or not it would be the real product, I was lucky enough to open the package and have beautiful floral cut-off Free People shorts in my hands ! A wonderful online shopping/eBay experience. :)

I am currently watching the Grinch, and tumbling away. Free to do what I please. Sighs of happiness coming from over here. :)

Today, at approximately one o'clock, I officially finished finals, and my first semester of college. I don't even know what to think. I still feel like I just graduated senior year, and in reality I graduated six months ago. Unreal.

*

This week was definitely one of the most intense and stressful periods of my life. Yes, I know that sounds silly, but it's definitely true. Now I see why college is a step up from high school. These grades matter more than ever, and studying until two, three, four in the morning to pass these exams is something no one typically did in high school, even for finals.
I'M DONE THOUGH.

*

I'm going home tomorrow; my daddy's picking me up from school, we're lunching at a delicious local Jewish deli, and we're driving back home to middle-of-nowhere New Jersey. Usually I dislike going home, but now I'm actually excited. This is the first time I won't have to do any school assignments, which leaves plenty of time for more important things, like baking, watching movies, (trying) to cook, seeing friends, shopping at my favourite places, more baking. The good life :)

*
Quick outfit notes... this is one of my favourites to date. I love it when almost over half of your outfit comes from different members of your family. Certainly makes things less costly. My hat is my uncle's that I received after he passed away. I love it. Collars over sweaters is a major trend right now, and mixing patterns and textures keeps things surprising. And we all know how much I love sweaters... unhealthy obsession.

The holidays are upon us ! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the holiday season. Drink hot cocoa and watch plenty of Christmas films ! That's what I'm doing at least. :)

Little ASOS Haul and a bag from Ebay

Skirt ... $17.00
Hair Chain ... $12.00
Clutch ... $17.00
All ASOS

bag ... $20.00
Ebay

I was browsing ASOS clearance, and found quite a few nice pieces I'd had my eye on on sale. Of course when you've been tracking pieces for months, you know what it's like when you see that item as been price dropped. You buy it IMMEDIATELY. The gold hair chain I had saved on a wish list for a while. It's a cool interesting little piece that makes me want to attempt a middle part. The hair just needs to grow out a little longer. As for the gold sequined skirt, I'd been browsing everywhere in search of a gold mini. This skirt is a combination of so many trends, and it pulls them all of beautifully. Sparkling sequins, peplum, just-short-enough-hemline, and in a striking gold hue. I absolutely love it. It's gotten use in an outfit on campus, and out on the town with the girls. A great piece for transitioning from day to night. The blue crocodile skin clutch is another piece I had saved in a wish list that I found to be on sale. The blue is a nice pop to a neutral toned outfit, and the gold accents give it a classy and glam feel. ASOS makes some really nice clutches, I highly recommend poking around there if you're looking for a nice little going out clutch.

Finally, the Ebay purchase. Aside from the really lovely Free People floral shorts I bought for a significantly lower-than-retail price, I've never bought accessories from Ebay. I love online shopping, but if I can't be certain enough about the quality, I likely won't make the purchase, as is basically everything on Ebay. I went out on a limb though, and bought this bag. I really wanted a leather-chain strap bag, and this one had a really reasonable price. When it arrived, I thought it was perfect. However, after only a week of using it, the faux leather started to peal away, revealing a gray cloth material underneath. I can't use the bag anymore as it looks extremely tattered and cheap. My first regrettable purchase in a very long time. At least I didn't invest too much money in it. :/

I hope all is going well in your lives, I am currently buried in work from finals. Literally, I have to dig out from under papers and textbooks to be able to take a quick breath and go back into the pile. It's scary and overwhelming. I am alive though, and I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday !
