Pretty Young Thing

Blazer ... Salvation Army
Tank Top ... Rock & Republic, Kohl's
Pants ... H&M
Shoes ... Zara

Well I've definitely been AWOL for a while... Finals. End of freshman year. Boys. Friends. Working. SUMMER. :)

I don't have much to say... Other than hello again. I don't know how regularly I'll be posting... I need a tripod that works, or a friend who I don't get camera shy in front of. It's a struggle.

I'll be spending my summer peacefully: watching Netflix, working at my local restaurant, and trying to have a happy few months before I go back to school. The goal for this summer isn't to try and work and make money and fill my time with activities, although all of those things can be helpful and joyful. The goal for me is to just feel... whole, and happy. However that is achieved. Right now, happiness for me is... Listening to The National, watching Gossip Girl, and sipping on tea. I hope you all are having a glorious beginning to your summers; don't work too hard! The goal is to have fun while you can. :)

Two Zero One Three

2013 is officially upon us. This means setting New Years resolutions. Sometimes they're simple, other times they're ridiculously hard to achieve, to the point where we give up half way through.  Even when you try to commit, trying to stick to them seems to be the biggest challenge. Next year comes and you look back at the resolution you thought of last year that is now a distant memory. If you stuck to it, great ! Most of us though... not so much.

*

Let's make this the year to commit to what we want to do. Start small, and then begin to aim larger and larger ! Example of starting small: I want to read more. A small activity, and one that I love, but something that I rarely do. Then in the meantime, also set that one big (reasonable) goal that you'd like to accomplish. I'll use the classic 'drop fifty pounds' example. Rather than actually attempting that and most likely not accomplishing it, switch the goal to 'eating healthier.' It's an easy, healthy task that may result in some weight loss, and/or lead to other things like taking a run three times a week or going to the gym every afternoon. When you start small, those big goals actually become attainable !

So make your self a smoothie, order a Jillian Michaels DVD, take a deep breath, and relax. We can do this ! As for me, I got The Great Gatsby in the post yesterday. Cannot wait to dive into that novel again.  I also just got back from a Zumba class. Yay for fitness !

Red Rum

sunglasses ... Old Navy
blazer ... Zara
red denim ... Candie's, Kohl's.

Good afternoon !

This is one of my favourite outfit posts to date. Red on red is such a polished high fashion look. Those sunglasses are a great unique and inexpensive find.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. It's lunch time and me and the boy are going to make some chicken curry :) Needless to say I'm starving !

I have plenty of reviews and outfit posts to do, so until then !

Come fly with me.

shirt ... Burton, Jack's Surf Shop

So I was watching America's Nex Top Model... yes, pathetic and cheesy, I know. I was watching a photo shoot, and I couldn't help but notice that the ones that girl that did really well, was jumping and moving around. This time when I went out to take pictures, my inner ballerina finally came out.

I think these shots came out mighty nice ! Trust me, I'm not as graceful as the pictures seem... not at all.
I've attached some photos below of make up things, a black cat eye and a pink lip. I don't know they brands, other than the lipstick is an old tube from my grandma, and the eye liner is from one of those gift sets from ages ago, I'm a make up hoarder.
Who's ever observant enough to notice, yes I have dry skin. I actually have terrible skin, and am in the process of recovering. Any tips on handling dry/sensitive skin would be wonderful.

Outfit of the Day ... March 8 2012

Jacket, George, motorcycle expo
Sweater, April Cornell, thrift
Dress, Topshop, Topshop
Tights, Topshop, Topshop
Shoes, Zara, Zara

Few and far posts, but I'm trying to figure a lot of things out. A new camera, a new room (soon) and always fumbling with blog settings. On to the clothes...

I wish I could have photographed the sweater, the crochet pattern is lovely. Tee-shirt sweaters are kind of pointless, but they're quite sweet looking.

I was looking for something crushed velvet for the longest time, and getting velvet leggings and shorts are still on my list. This dress was a birthday purchase in my trip to New York's Topshop, my heaven on earth. The tights are from there as well, I wish you could see the sparkle !

The shoes are my pride and glory. My boyfriend bought them for my birthday, such a sweet guy. I want leopard heels, and until I find them, these shoes will more than suffice; I love them.

I have more outfit posts up my sleeve, some nail polish reviews, and I'm thinking of putting together a shopping list kind of post ? Maybe I can get some feedback of places to get certain items I've been looking for. #leopard heels #floral heels # crushed velvet leggings #little black dress

I'm going to go play some Playstation2 before bed, goodnight dears ! #oldschool
