College has certainly taken its toll on what I define as interests and hobbies. While I aspire for a job in the fashion industry and am currently on the internship hunt, the things I used to be interested in have been left behind. Writing, for instance. I could make excuses and blame the perpetual writing assignments I receive in classes making me want to rest my fingers and mind from any other kind of writing, but that's where my realization sets in that if I was passionate about it, I would get it done.

I cannot make promises to anyone, but I can aim for improvement and set smaller goals.

Now that I've cleared my conscious. I can get back into the swing of things. Pardon my rusty fingers.

I will not tell a lie; these photos are from not this winter but the last winter. A winter that was so much more gentle to us. A winter that let me wear a jean jacket and leggings and not feel like my blood was about to freeze in my veins.

If you have not heard, Levi's been named one of the most ethical companies in the world by The Ethisphere Institute, as have Gap and H&M. I will be taking an active stand in supporting these companies by browsing them first before other retailers. That being said, my Levi's jacket is actually my mothers, an even more ethical way to take care of the environment by not making a footprint at all!

Aeropostale should be your hidden treasure trove for jewelry, shoes, and even clothing. I am in absolute love with Aero; they have really blossomed with their offerings in the recent years, and to me it seems like a best kept secret. With their frequent coupons and free shipping offers, it can be your secret too without ever having to enter the store. I recommend their necklaces. They have dainty bauble-eqsue pieces in addition to luxe looking statement jewels. I have filled a shopping cart with necklaces from Aero and I am not ashamed to mention it.

Stay thrifty my friends.

I honestly have no idea when these were taken. I was uploading photos and all of the sudden these appeared. Alter ego?
SpringFest at my college this weekend. Things are about to get weird. :)

P.S. Sorry about the lack of life over here. Writers block must come from piles of school work and exhaustion. For me it does at least.

I really enjoy it once I get back into the flow of writing, and hopefully I'll manage my time better this semester to write about clothes and make up and school and things. :) I just have to recruit and outfit photographer... hm.

Aloha ! I don't know about you, but it's absolutely freezing where I live right now. At thirty-two degrees. It's quite literally freezing. Stay warm if you're in the cold areas ! Drink up that cocoa and snuggle in warm pjs and blankets !

This past Friday into Saturday I was actually in Atlantic City for a concert. I unfortunately didn't get to see the show since it was a twenty-one and older event, but I did get to lay in a hotel room watching TV for a few hours, something that I normally never do. The next morning my mom took us out to Caesar's Casino for shopping. As I walked past the Louis Vuitton and Gucci and Burberry, I lusted for everything, but couldn't help but mentally belt out Thrift Shop in my head. I long for the day that I can walk into these stores and buy luxurious pieces. Who knows if that day will ever even come. However, nothing will ever beat finding that thing you've seen trending the runways in a thrift store, and for oodles upon oodles cheaper. That feeling of accomplishment is the best; cheating the system right there !

This outfit I wore at the beginning of my college school year. Yes, I did say I was finally caught up with outfit posts, and I AM. I only just posted this to lookbook a few days ago ! I was waiting so everything would be synced up, lookbook and blog. Marvelous ! Anywho... I was actually spotted in the cafeteria by a lovely fellow student, who interns for the website collegefashionista.com (link posted above). She asked me if she could interview me and snap a few photos (all of the photographs above). Of course I gladly accepted ! A small dream of mine has always been to be streetstyle photographed by someone, anyone. And it happened within the first few weeks of school ! As if school couldn't get any better, it's awesome to feel appreciated here, rather than outcasted like I always felt in high school. Moving on and up ! Definitely check the website out, it features many many different styles of students all over the nation. It's great for outfit inspiration !

This leather jacket is literally the best jacket I own. When my dad bought it for me for motorcycle riding many years ago, I thought it was ugly and stowed it away. When I stumbled upon it, it was like finding buryed treasure. It still has that awesome leathery scent, is soft as ever, and looks great with virtually everything. I know leather jackets are quite costly for good quality, so thank you dad for this amazing gift ! I finally appreciate it :) As usual the jewelry is all vintage. My grandma has the best jewelry collection I have ever seen, and when she gives me the occasional ring or bracelet, it's basically Christmas all over again. As for that necklace, I found it while working at my local antique shop, and the lovely shop keeper gave it to me for two dollars. TWO DOLLARS. That's more than a deal, perhaps more than a steal. Best gift ever :)

Sheesh I have typed a lot ! I used to think I  typed to little. Now I need to find stopping places in my writing so I don't overdo it ! That's what I call writing progress.

Happy New Years my lovelies !
