Hard Candy Take Me Out Liner Review

Hard Candy Take Me Out Liner in Sailor ... $ 5

Hello m'loves. It's been a while. I have a Thanksgiving outfit/makeup/hair post, but I don't have my camera cord here in Georgia... silly me I'm aware. Anywho.. !

I bought this liner a while ago on a Walmart run. It's a pretty metallic blue with a cool shape of the stick itself. It looks very nice and vibrant on, and lasts quite well with very little creasing, if any. The stick is shiny and pointed at the end, giving a futuristic feel. My only qualm is that some way, some how, the stick actually broke in half. You can see that I have taped it back together in the above photographs. Not only have I discovered that only half the tube is actually eye liner, but I have to deal with a flimsy stick when I apply it ! Cheap manufacturing aside, the color is a nice, vibrant hue, and for the traditional  cheap Walmart price, can I really complain ? Nope, no complaining, especially since it's Thanksgiving weekend ! :)

Thanksgiving post to come by Sunday evening ! Until then, I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend. :) !

Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen Review

I've been really loving the shimmery beach-themed colour pallet this season. That being said, when I saw this shadow crayon in the Pixi section at Target, I had to make the purchase.

At first when I began using it, I wasn't too wowed. It's so shimmery and beautiful on it's own, but I noticed a crease by the end of the day. Then I began to use it as a base for my neutral eye shadow. It's the best product I've ever used to keep my shadow in place.  As a base though, it's very strong, and I feel like it almost enhances shadows I put on top of it, since it's already got that shimmer to begin with. I barely have to smooth it out after application.

I will probably buy this again when I run out; it's a really nice color, not to mention the cute packaging.

Beauty Tag

A long, LONG, time ago. I was tagged in a beauty questionnaire by my lovely friend Lindsl. Me, taking forever to do anything, never quite got around to doing it until now.

Let's get started. :)

1) What is your favorite part about blogging?
I love using different make up brands and products, and not all of them end up being good. We all deserve to be informed about the best of the best, and the worst of the worst. I'm here to let you know before you make a beauty purchase mistake.
More than my love of make up, is my love of clothing. OOTDs are definitely my favorite things to post. Every piece of clothing in my closet I cherish, from my embellished vintage tank to my ratty denim cutoffs. Putting outfits together is like a puzzle, and getting inspired by other blogs and magazines makes it a never-ending challenge. Love love love it.

2) Is there something you dislike about blogging?
Layout fumbling. I'm pretty good with computers and internet and whatnot, but trying to edit the layout is such a fracking drag. I'm still trying to figure it out, and it always ends in frustrated defeat. If anyone knows any good layout learning sites, let me know !

3) What are your favorite types of posts to read?
Definitely OOTDs. As previously stated, my love of clothing is everywhere. Looking at other people's OOTDs and how they style things helps me constantly try new things myself. I also get to find out what's trending, and what I should be wishing for next. #jefferycambellbooties #snoods #studdedeverything
4) What's your favorite post from your own blog?
Hm... this one I guess. I don't have any super favourites, although I want to do a room makeover post, which will allow me to show my biggest accomplishment. I like that post because that's one of my favourite OOTD's. That Givenchy cover up (vintage from grandma) is my pride and joy. I wrote that out in Cali as well, my future home someday somehow.

5) Which beauty product do you want to purchase due to reading another persons blog?
Due to reading another person's blog... I have quite a few things ! I wish I could have a Glossy Box (first seen on her blog), but since I don't live in the UK, it cannot happen at the moment. Instead I wish to invest in the Birch Box (first seen on her Youtube channel). The idea of getting a bunch of random high end samples for a pretty good price sounds like Christmas twelve months a year.
Additionally, these cool doggy nail polish stickers (found from this blogger), and I know want some L'Agent Provacateur beauty and bath products now that I saw them on here.

I tag everyone that reads this ! Let's get some opinions, they make the world go round.
Until next time. <3

Cover Girl Blast Flipstick Lip Stick review

Out of all the colours in this collection, this combination is the most attractive looking to me. The different colours makes it more worth the money for sure versus the other duos where the colour is two similar. Yes they're pretty, but the contrast this colour supplies is really pretty worn together, or just each on their own.
The packaging is pretty, and I like how the colour of the packaging fades into the colour of the lipstick on each side.
Now, the over all consistency once I put the colours on...
I have very few lipsticks that I am pleased with once I put them on my lips. Maybe I'm not prepping correctly, but except for my M.A.C. and my Chanel lipsticks, all of my others just don't settle correctly. They look chunky and begin to turn pasty in only a short while.
This Cover Girl lip colour was alright. There seem to be big sparkly bits in the colour that, when it begins to become pasty on my lips, I can clearly see. Yes, it looks very nice when I put either or both on. They blend very nicely with each other, or look gorgeous on their own. I prefer the red alone than the gold, based on my skin tone.
The verdict ? It was worth the purchase. I don't know if I'd buy any of the others, and the consistency is only average, but the colours are a great combination, and the shine when I first apply it is very attractive.

Come fly with me.

shirt ... Burton, Jack's Surf Shop
shorts ... diy cutoffs
shoes ... Zara

So I was watching America's Nex Top Model... yes, pathetic and cheesy, I know. I was watching a photo shoot, and I couldn't help but notice that the ones that girl that did really well, was jumping and moving around. This time when I went out to take pictures, my inner ballerina finally came out.

I think these shots came out mighty nice ! Trust me, I'm not as graceful as the pictures seem... not at all.
I've attached some photos below of make up things, a black cat eye and a pink lip. I don't know they brands, other than the lipstick is an old tube from my grandma, and the eye liner is from one of those gift sets from ages ago, I'm a make up hoarder.
Who's ever observant enough to notice, yes I have dry skin. I actually have terrible skin, and am in the process of recovering. Any tips on handling dry/sensitive skin would be wonderful.

H&M, consignment shop, and some beauty buys.

black skirt, (diy) H&M, on sale for $15.00
skirt, H&M
graphic pants, H&M
shorts, vintage The Limited, consignment shop
dresss, vintage, consignment shop
striped top, vintage, consignment shop
bracelet, vintage Lucky Brand (?), consignment shop
necklace, boutique purchase $20.00
bag, vintage Dooney and Bourke, consignment shop, on sale for $20.00
beauty: Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Collide-O-Scope, Pantene Straighten & Smooth Creme for Medium-Thick Hair, John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray. (Harmon Beauty Supply for the nail appliques, Walmart for the hair products)

So as you can see I've went a little spend crazy. And as of now I have a few other haul posts to type up. But one at a time!
The black skirt I was inspired by in this post, so when I saw one like it in H&M sans the short inside lining, I made a purchase! And then I simply cut short the inside lining to my liking. I've even kept the black ring of cloth that was the bottom of the lining to use as a slinky scarf. Fashion multitasking at it's best !
The pants I've been seeing everywhere, and I felt behind on the trends. :( Not anymore ! I'm excited to see what I can pair with them; it seems like my gladiator sandals will be a go to item for them.
I've been on the hunt for unique shorts, so I decided to snatch these up from consignment. They were on sale too I believe. I plan to maybe cut the bottoms for a nice beat up frayed look.
The Dooney bag I'm fairly certain is a knock off (didn't really check when I was purchasing... gah). But I do absolutely love it. It looks fairly convincing for a knock off, and it fits the prep sophisticate bag style that's in right now.
I plan to review the three beauty purchases in due time. After I've used them a fair amount. As you can see I already got to the press on nail stickers...
Speak soon all !
