Californiacation Days Seven and Eight

I didn't have my laptop for three days, and as relaxing as it was to be basically cut from technology, it was rough ! I'm glad to be back. :)

I was actually in San Diego from Thursday to today. We had to help a family friend dock is boat in San Diego, so we got to stay on it for a few days once we got there. I have plenty of pictures; it was one of the most amazing times I've had out here, and in general. But we must go in order, so here are some previous day's events...

Th squirrels here are cuter than back in Jersey ...

Crafty hat.

My love. He got thirteenth place in the skate competition this year, after placing first last year. He still wins in my heart though ... :)

A short but sweet post. I'm actually leaving tonight. Very very sad face. Got to get ready for COLLEGE though. Move in day is the twentieth, help !

Californiacation Days Five and Six

Hello everyone ! I do hope all of your summers are going well, whether you're vacationing or relaxing at home. Both are quite enjoyable !

I've basically been relaxing like crazy. I feel like I'm at some resort, getting up when I want ( which, let me tell you, is as early as possible ! hate wasting vacation time sleeping ), going to the beach all day, and then eating at some various yummy restaurants.

I'll briefly tell you how my aunt and uncle adopted this pup. My uncle was driving down the freeway to a meeting, and saw her on the side of the freeway, against the freeway wall. He had to get off at an exit and back on, stop traffic in the left lane ( with a cop's assistance ), scoop up the little girl and continue on to his meeting. He bought her a burger from In N Out, went into his meeting, came back to her having been sick in his car, and brought her home. She's the best little dog ever. Oh, and her name ? It's Freeway :)

If you haven't noticed, I make silly faces much more than pleasant ones.

Californiacation Days Three And Four

So sorry for the complete lack of vacation photos. I actually lost BOTH my camera cords ... in my suitcase ... You know how once you begin to unpack your outfits the clothing goes from nicely folded to a mountainous heap, and my cords got trapped in it. No worries for I have found them ! :)

So California ... I'm a bit behind, but I can catch you up quick !

Day Three :
The boy and I checked out the U.S. Open and then went and got Chronic Tacos again. I've been exercising like hell to keep the looming pounds away. The fish tacos will do me in eventually. Anyhow, my aunt and uncle took us around Huntington Bay in a family friends duffy. Talk about living the good life. I love love love boating around bays, something that never happens where I live.

A cool pod. It was actually an emergency pod for an old ship.

Some fancy glasses I found on the duffy

Day Four :
My cousin came over to stay for a few days. Her and I religiously go to the U. S. Open, mostly for the skating. The surfing is quite amazing too, obviously. Kelly Slater was the man I was rooting for, a local legend. I don't believe he won, but he is still a champion to me !

Californiacation Days OneAndTwo

So since I'm in and around Huntington Beach for two weeks... I have no choice but to bombard you with photos of my sillyness. :)

The first day was just relaxing. We went to my absolute favourite eatery, Chronic Tacos. They have the best fish tacos I've ever tasted, and their taquitos are also pretty deadly. We checked out the U.S.Open, it's going to be going on for the next ten or so days. It's absolute insanity. So many people, and so much going on. Surfing, skating, music, and plenty of bikinis.

Day two was L.A. My uncle is pretty amazing with the connections to people (let's just say free parking in the lots, having friends in Hollywood Hills, that kind of stuff). My only request for that day was to go to Amoeba, the biggest record store in America. It is like heaven on earth, and I picked up a few things. I definitely want to do a California loot haul, that would make it easy to show you my treasures. We finished the day at Ruby's, a yummy burger joint, with delicious shakes.

Lot's of photos !

 U.S. Open of Surfing, craziness.

 Viva Italia !

An interesting yet extremely tasty combination.

Tonight my aunt and uncle are taking us around the bay. I love boating and I never get to experience it. It's one of those things I hope to one day have the luxury of doing whenever I feel like it.
